About

I like to bike. Sometimes I wear spandex and the colors of my bicycle club, Major Taylor Bicycle Club of the Twin Cities. I’m the secretary. Most of the time, I’m on my cruiser biking in the neighborhood doing errands. I try to bike in the summer as much as I can. In the winter, not so much.

I began this blog because some people think women of color don’t ride bicycles, don’t exercise and aren’t concerned about their own health But I don’t think so and I’m going to highlight the women in my community, Twin Cities of Minnesota, who are active in biking and exercise.

History is another passion of mine. There will be some historical information about early African American women athletic achievements.

I’m also a writer. So I might throw in a short story, a poem or essay or two just for good measure.

Women of color  let me know of your bicycle community with your comments.
